Blog In Advance ? ? ?

A new feature for BlogSphere that I have been playing with is the ability to ‘Blog In Advance’. The idea is that you can create an entry with the date set in the future. The new entry will only appear on or after the entries date has been reached or is past.

I suppose the main reason for creating this feature is so that if you have a few good ideas for entries but don’t want to put them all out on the same day you can stagger them across a number of days.

What does everybody think about this feature? After using it a few times in the last few days I feel that in some way it’s cheating because the entry is not spontaneous but i don’t know if it should be left in as a feature…

Lotus Notes And Domino 6 Demo

Lotus have put together an excellent Flash Demo showing off all the different parts of ND6. If you have to convince anybody to upgrade to ND6 then I’d certainly show them these. It would be nice, however, if you could download the flash files so that they could be used offline when visiting customers.

I’ve also noticed that the IBM WorkPlace Messaging product has reached Beta 3 status. If you have access to the IBM Partner World for Software then you should be able to download the new beta and try it out.

Blogs As Project Tracking Systems

Mike Golding has started an interesting thread over at NotesTips about the use of the Blog in terms of project tracking. I started this blog so that I could keep interested parties updated on how development was going for one of my OpenNTF projects so in a way the idea of using blogs for this purpose is an interesting one.

After starting to blog about the project I unfortunately had to cut down on the amount of time I could spend working on the project but I didn’t want to stop blogging. Now that I have time again I find that I am spending it on the BlogSphere project and in a way the BlogSphere website is really a project tracking blog also.

So is there an untapped blog market? Shall we see more and more project blogs in the future… I think so…
