I finally managed to meet up with Steve
Castledine this morning at the TekCheck for our afternoon session. Once
we checked the laptop on the display screens we headed back to my hotel
room to do our first and final practice session together. Everything seem
to go pretty well and by 1pm we were all set to go.

People started arriving into the room
about 1.15 and it quickly filled to capacity with some people having to
start at the back of the room.  The session went very well but unfortunitly
I had to leave a few things out of my demonstration such as Web Polls and
the new enterprise blogging management solution I’m currently working on.

I haven’t seen the session evaluations
yet but I did see that a good few eval forms were handed in. It will be
interesting to see the feedback we received.

Well the Dolphin pool bar closes at around
6pm every night so the PLFNEBGT conviened in the Dolphin hotel bar.  Slowly
but surly familiar and not so familiar faces started coming out of the
woodwork as people arrived in from across the world to check in for their
annual lotus geekfest.

Of course the friendly drinks got louder
when Wild Bill Buchan arrived with his stylish new hairstyle that you can
see in the picture above. Drinking went on till the wee hours of the morning
and a few of us ended up in Picabu Caffateria which used to be called Tubbies.

Now, time to fully wake up and get registered
so I can check out the new bag.

Twas the saturday before Lotusphere and
all thru the parks all that could be heard were the screaming hordes of
people who had just seen Wild Bill Buchan in his kilt.

The Bloggers Annual Lotusphere Dinner
was on Saturday on the boardwalk.  It was a good crowd and this year
the staff didn;t get upset with us as we all obeyed the rules and queued
for tables etc.  The party started about 3pm and carried on till 6ish
with the slightly cooler weather resulting in people leaving early to put
on warmer clothes..

After bunding up ourselves, myself and
Terri hit the ESPN Club to join the Turtles party.  This party has
a special significance for us as this is where we first met 4 Lotusphere’s
ago. A good time was had by all and the Penumbra crowd joined us later
with Wild Bill wearing his kilt and scaring all the kiddies.
