Access to the Lotusphere Online website is now available at http://www.ls08.net

This years Lotusphere theme is ‘Emergence’. The site looks like a Lotus Connections website so it will be nice to see how it performs under the heavy load during Lotusphere week.

Update : It does look like there are a few small kinks to work out. In the discussion it is showing peoples login ID’s instead of their name which makes it difficult to see who is posting in the discussions.

Also the communities seem to be lacking a ‘Join’ feature however people who have not joined the community can edit the communities settings, kind of like as if they were manager.

I’m sure that these are just slight configuration settings that will get corrected soon.

Update : Looks like the names issue in the discussion forums has been corrected.

Arrrrrrrr Me Harties! The Pirates of Collaboration will be setting sail on the Dolphin Seas again this year at Lotusphere. If you fancy you luck you can reserve your spot in the race.

This year should be interesting as no longer will ye be huffing and puffing yer way across the high seas in a peddle boat, instead ye’ll be loading the cannons to blast yer enemy out of the water all the way to Davy Jones Locker while ye speed along in your new electric powered vessel. Just keep your eyes open for Captain Mooney speeding through the waters on the Black(berry) Pearl to cut ye off.

While most people get into Orlando for
Lotusphere on the Saturday there are always a handful of people who arrive
in on the Friday and this year is no exception. So if your like me and
Terri and looking for something to do on Friday 18th instead of watching
the Lotusphere staff hanging all the signs on the poles between the Swan
and Dolphin or sitting in the Dolphin foyer looking for people checking
in with their last years black and yellow Lotusphere bag slung over their
shoulder then why not join us for a few drinks at Raglin Road in Downtown
Disney’s pleasure Island.

We will be there from about 8.30pm onwards
as we are going to go see the 6pm ‘La Noubia’ show. Speaking of La Noubia,
if you havn’t seen this show then I really recommend going if you get a
chance.  The show is closed Jan 22nd till Jan 26th so if your interested
then make sure you get it into your schedule before Lotusphere.
